Xulia Vicente is a cartoonist and illustrator from Spain. She grew up in the northern region of Galicia, and eventually moved to study Fine Arts in Valencia, where she currently lives. Her work focuses on expressive characters, interactions and movement, with a vibrant use of colour. She usually centers her themes around fantasy elements, sapphics, and a little bit of horror.
Her main interest are comics and narrative work, either through publishing, work-for-hire or self-made zines. She’s also worked as a freelance illustrator, mostly in editorial, and as an art teacher at a Master’s degree.
Among her clients: 2000AD, Beijing Kids Media, Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport, Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana, Roca Editorial, Mai Més Llibres, Fundació Bromera, Brainwash Gang, Deconstructeam.
