Duerme Pueblo

Comic by Núria Tamarit and Xulia Vicente, published in Spanish by Ediciones La Cúpula.

The corpse of a neighbour has been found in the forest. The church and the mayor suspect two people: Flavia the witch, marked by her habits, and Julia the hunter, wife to the butcher and with a story full of secrets. The sinister events add to an already troubled situation due to the lack of rains, and the inhabitants of Barballo are starting to lose their patience. Only Audrey, the orphan kid they say is friends with the devil, knows the truth. And the truth is never what it seems.

While the village sleeps, something crawls among the shadows. Will someone else die tonight?

Both Núria and Xulia act as writers, character designers and artists. Núria draws the ‘night’ pages, printed in black, and Xulia, the ‘day’ ones, printed in blue.

A booktrailer was also in progress, done with the help of María Ponce and music by Pau Ferro. The project was never finished.
